Matthew Raymond

I was born in Bend, Oregon and I spent time growing up in the West & Midwest. In 2007, I came to Alaska as an Army officer. The people and outdoor recreation in Fairbanks made an immediate impact on me. As a State Farm Agent, I love having the opportunity to help other people accomplish their goals. I have worked in the insurance and financial services industry since 2013 and am knowledgeable when it comes to creating personalized plans. I believe that each person has unique needs and priorities.

As a State Farm Agent, I take the title of Good Neighbor to heart. I am always looking for ways to be involved in the community and for opportunities to pay it forward. I served as board member of the Fairbanks Children’s Museum from 2015-2021, I'm currently an assistant coach for the Eclipse Soccer Club, and I'm member of True North Community Church. I am also proud to support local nonprofits and youth sports teams.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Xavier University (Magna Cum Laude) along with my MBA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks where I received Honors and earned Beta Gamma Sigma recognition. Adding to my resume of life experiences, I served as a military officer in the Army for seven years and did two, year-long deployments to Iraq from 2003-2004 and 2008-2009. I’m also a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
