Welcome to Matthew State Farm in Fairbanks, Alaska!

I’m Matt and I’ve been proud to call Fairbanks home since 2007. I was born in Bend, Oregon and spent time growing up in both the West and Midwest. I came to Alaska as an Army officer and quickly fell in love with the community and the incredible outdoor lifestyle. Since 2013, I’ve been serving local individuals, families, and small businesses with guidance across auto insurance, homeowners and renters insurance, life insurance, health coverage, and small business insurance.

As your local State Farm agent, I take the role of Good Neighbor seriously. I’m actively involved in the Fairbanks community, serving as a coach for the Eclipse Soccer Club, participating in True North Community Church, and supporting local nonprofits and youth sports teams. Previously, I served on the Board of the Fairbanks Children’s Museum and I continue to find ways to contribute to causes that strengthen our community.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Xavier University (Magna Cum Laude) and my MBA from the University of Alaska–Fairbanks with Honors, where I also received Beta Gamma Sigma recognition. Before becoming an agent, I served seven years as a military officer, including two deployments to Iraq. I am a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

We serve customers throughout Fairbanks and surrounding areas, including Delta Junction, North Pole, Nenana, Anchorage, Palmer, and Wasilla. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our three children, and our pets, Finn and Ziggy. Weekends often find us exploring the outdoors, reading, or enjoying quiet family moments.
