Matthew Raymond

Born in Bend, Oregon, I spent most of my time in the West and Midwest. However, in 2007, I relocated to Alaska with the Army. The people and the scenery here are wonderful and as a State Farm Agent, I love having the opportunity to help others live life to the fullest. I have worked in the insurance industry since 2013 and am knowledgeable when it comes to creating personalized plans that meet the unique needs of my policyholders. As a State Farm Agent, I take the title of Good Neighbor to heart. I am always looking for ways to be involved in the community and for opportunities to pay it forward. I served as board member of the Fairbanks Children’s Museum from 2015-2021, currently serve on The Fairbanks Disc Golf Association board and Eclipse Soccer Club board, and I am member of True North Community Church. I am also proud to support nonprofits such as American Heart Association as well as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Xavier University (Magna Cum Laude) along with my MBA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks where I received Honors and earned Beta Gamma Sigma recognition. Adding to my resume of life experiences, I served as a military officer in the Army for seven years and did two, year-long deployments to Iraq from 2003-2004 and 2008-2009. I’m also a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

When I’m not at the office meeting with customers or working my insurance agent magic, I am spending quality time with my wife and our three kids. We also have two furry children: a Brittany Spaniel named Finn and a Lynx Point cat named Ziggy. My weekend itinerary typically consists of outdoor recreation, reading, and occasionally relaxation.
